  • In short: copyright law. While the Quran itself is public domain, translations aren’t. We acquired the rights to the Yusuf Ali translation and were therefore able to use it to make this audiobook!

  • Many of them were awesome, but the most enjoyable was when Pharaoh is drowning. Michael actually drank water before delivering the line on one of the takes!

  • I’m a huge fan of Audible Originals and the amazing technical feats that go into producing them. I also noticed that dramatized Bibles were super popular and I thought, hmm, no one has done this level of dramatization for the Quran before… why don’t I! And the rest is history!

This fatwa, reviewed by several highly-trained Islamic scholars, approves the permissibility and benefit of this project
